Jen Comstock

I am driven by curiosity about how things come to be, inspired by good design, and passionate about people. I studied cognitive psychology—memory, attention, and perception—in college and grad school, and continue to explore human behavior in my work as a UX researcher.

I've also been a cartoonist since an early age, with training from RISD and MassArt. I wrote a comic strip for my college newspaper and have since self-published an illustrated glossary of food and a collection of my MIT comics.

Between academic and professional pursuits, I spent time as a pastry cook in a high-end French-American restaurant. I still prepare desserts for holidays and special occasions, and now run hands-on cooking and baking workshops with neighbors in my home.

When I'm "left unattended," this is what I do.
